How selection works
Applications are evaluated in stages, which typically include a document review and an interview for shortlisted candidates. A complete application, strong grades and a clear, honest statement of purpose give you the best chance.
A sensible timeline
- October–December: choose programmes, request reference letters, gather and translate documents
- December: draft and revise your statement of purpose
- 10 January – 20 February: complete and submit the online application early in the window
- After the deadline: prepare for a possible interview, and keep direct university applications as a back-up
University scholarships and tuition discounts
Many universities, particularly foundation universities, offer international students tuition discounts based on academic results or entrance exam scores. The discount levels, conditions and the number of awards are set by each university and often change from year to year. Check whether a discount continues for the whole programme and what grades you must keep to retain it.
How to avoid scholarship scams
- Türkiye Scholarships applications are made through the official portal. Never pay anyone to "secure" a scholarship.
- Be cautious of offers that guarantee a scholarship before you have applied or been interviewed.
- Pay university fees only through the university's official, published channels.
How we help
We check your eligibility, help you plan which scholarships and discounts to aim for, review your documents and statement of purpose, and make sure you apply on time. We cannot influence selection decisions.
