Choosing an educational consultancy is an important decision. A good consultancy saves you time and mistakes. A bad one can cost you money, a year of your life, or worse. Whether you choose us or someone else, here is what to look for in Jalalabad and Nangarhar.
Green flags: signs of a trustworthy consultancy
- A real, visitable office. You can meet the team in person and know where to find them.
- Clear, written information about their fees before you commit, separate from university and visa fees.
- Honest assessments. They tell you when a programme is unrealistic for your grades or budget.
- They explain the official process and show you official sources, not just their own promises.
- University fees are paid to the university, through its official channels, with receipts in your name.
- They keep you informed and give you copies of everything submitted for you.
- They specialise. Deep knowledge of one country, such as Türkiye, is worth more than shallow knowledge of twenty.
Red flags: walk away if you see these
- "Guaranteed admission" or "guaranteed visa." Universities and governments make these decisions. No consultancy can guarantee them.
- Offers to "fix" documents, change grades or create papers. This is fraud and can ruin future applications.
- Selling visa appointments or claiming special access to embassies.
- Pressure to pay quickly before you understand the service.
- Requests to pay university tuition into a personal account.
- Claims of partnerships they cannot show. Ask for evidence.
Questions to ask before you sign up
- Which countries and universities do you specialise in?
- What exactly is included in your service, and what does it cost?
- Which fees will I pay to universities, embassies and translators separately?
- Who will handle my application, and how will you keep me updated?
- What happens if I am not admitted or my visa is refused?
- Can I see examples of the official sources you use?
What a good first consultation looks like
A useful first meeting is about you, not about selling. Expect the consultant to:
- Ask about your grades, documents, budget, preferred subject and timeline
- Look at your actual documents, or ask to see them, before suggesting programmes
- Explain the realistic options and the risks, including programmes that are out of reach
- Tell you which costs go to universities, embassies and translators, and which go to the consultancy
- Give you clear next steps in writing
If you leave the meeting with promises but no plan, or with pressure to pay immediately, think carefully before going further. Parents are welcome to attend, and it is a good idea to bring them.

Questions students ask
Can an education consultancy guarantee my visa?
No. Visa decisions are made by the government of the destination country. A consultancy that guarantees a visa is not being honest with you.
Should I pay university fees to the consultancy?
University fees should be paid directly to the university through its official channels, with receipts in your name.
