Checked against official sources on 29 October 2026. Requirements, fees and dates change and can differ by university, embassy or consulate. Always confirm the current rules with the official source before you apply — we do this for every student we work with.
The best student visa consultancy is not the one that promises a visa. It is the one that prepares a complete, honest and consistent file, explains its fees in writing, uses only official channels and tells you plainly what it cannot control. No consultancy in Jalalabad, or anywhere else, can guarantee a visa, because the decision belongs to the embassy. This guide explains what visa "processing" really means for a Turkish student visa, what a good consultant does for you, the red flags to avoid and the questions to ask before you hand over your documents.
This guide is about student visas for Türkiye, the visa service we provide.
What "visa processing" really means
Many people say a consultancy "processes" visas. In reality, the embassy processes the visa and makes the decision. A consultancy prepares your side of the application. For a Turkish student visa from Afghanistan, that means:
- Checking that your university acceptance letter and its conditions are ready for a visa application.
- Preparing the documents: passport, photographs, academic documents with legalisation and translation where required, and proof of finances.
- Making sure every document is consistent: the same name spelling and date of birth everywhere.
- Helping you complete the online visa pre-application on the official consular portal, letter by letter as in your passport.
- Preparing you for submission at the Turkish Embassy in Kabul, and for what happens after you arrive in Türkiye.
At the Kabul embassy, in our experience (October 2026), student visa applicants are not interviewed: the decision is made on the documents. That makes the file itself the whole application, and it is where an experienced consultant adds the most value.
What a good visa consultant can and cannot do
| A good consultant can | No consultant can |
|---|---|
| Tell you which documents the embassy usually asks for, and why | Guarantee a visa or influence the embassy's decision |
| Check every document for completeness and consistency | Buy or "reserve" an appointment outside the official system |
| Explain how to present financial evidence clearly and honestly | Make a weak financial situation look strong with invented papers |
| Help you fill in the pre-application correctly | Speed up the embassy's processing time |
| Explain what to do if the embassy asks for more information | Overturn a refusal on your behalf |
| Brief you on the residence permit after arrival | Make the e-Visa valid for study (it is only for tourism and commerce) |
Red flags: walk away if you see these
- "100% visa guarantee" or "visa or your money back" with no written terms.
- "We have contacts at the embassy." This is either untrue or illegal.
- Selling appointments or charging for "fast-track" processing that does not exist.
- Offers to create documents: bank statements, sponsor letters, diplomas or translations that do not match the originals. Fraud leads to refusal and can affect future applications to Türkiye and other countries.
- Keeping your passport without a written receipt, or for longer than needed.
- Asking you to pay the embassy's fee in cash to them without a receipt that shows what it is for.
- Using an e-Visa for study. Türkiye's Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the e-Visa is only for tourism and commerce; study visas are issued by embassies and consulates.
How fees should work
There are usually three kinds of payments in a student visa application. A trustworthy consultancy separates them clearly:
| Payment | Paid to | How |
|---|---|---|
| Consultancy service fee | The consultancy | Agreed with you before work begins, with a receipt |
| Visa fee | As the embassy instructs | Through the official channel, with a receipt |
| Translation, legalisation, tuition deposit | Translators, offices, the university | Directly, with receipts in your name |
Ask every consultancy what happens to its own fee if your visa is refused. Our answer: if your student visa is not approved, we do not charge our service fee.
Questions to ask before you choose
- Are you a registered business? What are your registration and licence numbers?
- How many years have you prepared Turkish student visa files, and who in your team will handle mine?
- Which documents will you check, and will you show me the final file before it is submitted?
- What exactly does your fee cover, and what happens to it if the visa is refused?
- Which payments will I make directly to the embassy, translators and the university?
- How will you prepare me for what happens after I arrive in Türkiye?
What to bring to your first visa consultation
- Your passport, and old passports if you have them
- Your university acceptance letter and any payment receipts
- Your academic documents and any translations already made
- Your tazkira, and the identity documents of your financial sponsor if a parent or relative is paying
- Bank statements or income documents for whoever is paying for your studies
A good consultant will compare spellings across all of these before anything else, because a single difference in a name or date of birth is one of the most common reasons files run into trouble.
If your visa has already been refused
Do not reapply with the same file. A refusal letter may not explain every reason, so review the file honestly with someone experienced: the consistency of personal details, the strength and clarity of the financial evidence, and whether the study plan fits your background. Fix real weaknesses first. Be wary of anyone who says they can "fix" a refusal through contacts; nobody can overturn the embassy's decision.
How to compare consultancies in Jalalabad
Use the same short checklist for every consultancy you visit:
| Check | What a good answer looks like |
|---|---|
| Registered and licensed | Gives the numbers and shows the certificate |
| Office and team | Real office; you know who handles your file |
| Knows the Turkish process | Explains the pre-application, Kabul submission and residence permit without hesitation |
| Honest about limits | Says clearly that it cannot guarantee a visa |
| Written fees | Separates its fee from embassy and third-party fees |
| Policy if refused | A clear written answer |

Questions students ask
Which is the best visa consultancy in Jalalabad?
There is no official ranking of visa consultancies in Jalalabad. Choose one that is a registered business, explains its fees in writing, prepares complete and honest files, uses only official appointment and payment channels, and never promises a visa. For student visas to Türkiye, also check that it knows the Turkish Embassy in Kabul's process.
Can a visa consultant speed up my Turkish student visa?
No. The embassy decides how long processing takes. A consultant can save time on your side by preparing a complete, consistent file, but nobody can buy a faster decision or a special appointment.
Can a visa consultancy guarantee a Turkish student visa?
No. Visa decisions are made by the Turkish authorities. Any consultancy that guarantees a visa is not being honest with you.
Do I pay the visa fee to the consultancy?
Pay the visa fee as the embassy instructs, and keep the receipt. The consultancy's service fee is separate and should be agreed with you in writing before work begins.
Is there an interview for the Turkish student visa in Kabul?
In our office's experience with student visa files at the Turkish Embassy in Kabul (as of October 2026), applicants are not interviewed and the decision is made on the documents. That is why a careful, consistent file matters so much.
